Tommy Mesa and JP Jofre are collaborators both in the recital and orchestral spheres. 

Together with the composer himself, Tommy offers JP Jofre’s duo concerto for cello and bandoneon. You can find a recording of the work’s premiere (not with Tommy) here.

In recital, Tommy and JP’s duo program of tango music combines compositions of the tango master Astor Piazzolla with solo cello and bandoneon selections and duo transcriptions by JP himself, a native of Argentina. Tommy and JP have a comfortable narrative interwoven between pieces to give greater context.
